I was contacted by a person called Akshay Kumar who claimed to be an Army Captain and wanted to rent our home. He mentioned that I will get a call from his office for receipt of token deposit .
Once he called me, he started guiding me on how to receive money from Army – shared his bank account details and asked to transfer money to that account. Of course I realized it is a fraud at that time but upon looking up online, realized this is a big scam that the duo is running across the country and no action has been taken so far despite multiple complaints.
