I have received a letter from Meesho mentioning that we have won XUV 500 Car or 14,80,000 cash prize in a scratch and win lucky draw. The letter is received from Kolkata-:

The person asked for bank account number, IFSC code and account holder name to transfer the money.
We believed that is true so we gave the account number and all details to them.
1st they asked me to pay 1% tax i.e., 14,800/-. The person give his Phone pay number i.e., 8535951580 Name: Dev mondal, I pay 15,000 through Phonepay and again the person asked pay remaining 4% tax amount 23,450/- we paid both the amount….and then if u pains this your amount will be credited like that they said…and after that they told me to pay again the state GST-CGST you have to pay like that they told to pay 51,200 ..now only we thought this would be fraud. Then we asked them to refund the amount but they are not listening to us. So plz take severe action on them…plz tell what’s the remedy for us
