Case Details:
The complainant was contacted by **Aaliya Publications**, which claimed to offer legitimate **work-from-home projects**. After receiving project details, the complainant chose one and was asked to pay a **registration fee of ₹750**, promising an advance salary payment afterward. After making the payment, the company further demanded a **security deposit of ₹2,450**, stating it was required to complete the registration.
Even after both payments, the fraudsters delayed further communication with excuses and later claimed an additional charge of **₹5,998** for “NFT bank verification.” When the complainant attempted to verify the payment details, discrepancies were found in the **QR code**, with the payment link showing an unknown number instead of the claimed “Bank of Maharashtra.” Realizing the fraudulent nature of the operation, the complainant refused to pay further but was unable to recover previously paid amounts.
