We are the resident of Jaipur, shifted to Mumbai for study and job purpose for 2 months. For the same I, Utkarsh Khemka searched for flats online on Flat & Flat mates portal on Facebook (Attaching facebook and whatsapp conversation), there I met Karan Sharma and arranged the meet up to show his flat. He mentioned us that he is the owner of the house (A-8 Jawwant Society, RTO Rd, Shatataraka Co Op Housing Society, Suresh Nagar, Andheri West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400102) and everything will be done legally and he asked for 2 months rent in advance (Rs.70000 – Rs.35000 per month) and Rs.12500 additional brokerage, in total Rs.82500 We transferred him Rs.70000 by bank transfer (attaching bank copy) on 1st December 2018 and brokerage with cash. We shifted in flat and he next day took our signature on NOC form and sent it for police stamp and told us to give that back which we never received, also told us to do agreement in coming days. As the days passes on different type of people were approaching the flat and harassing us to vacant the flat so that they can extract money that Karan owes them, and they also told us that the Karan is a fraud and he is not the landowner. Later we found that he has told everyone that my younger brothers are staying in the flat buy in reality he Sublet it without knowing us. Soon after that we packed our luggage and moved out on the same day. Now Karan and his friend Shivani (Attaching mobile number copy) is involved in this case and threatening us that they wont return our money back and do whatever we want.
I request you Sir/Ma’am please resolve this matter as that is a huge amount of money for us and these guys have cheated us. Now it’s been very difficulty for us to stay in Mumbai as our rent money is being stuck and we are facing lot of harassment.
