Hi, I was desperately looking for a job when I went on quickr jobs and got all these companies who were offering 15k salary for a simple data entry job for which I was drawn in. They had a representative call in who could barley speak any English and were ok with any kind of experience that you had as long as you can perform the task via laptop or smartphone. The task was to fill up 500 forms in 5 days these companies always communicate on Whatsapp and the links that they send for registration are one off links they have no permanent office. They did not ask for any registration fee however they were going to deduct 6300 from the initial payout which was their registration fee. The so called contract which was agreed verbally stated that if I was not able to finish the task I would need to pay that 6300 to the company.
The task it self was so shady the data that they are providing is repetive the same names coming across for example one customers name is James Bricks then couple of pages after that you have Linda Bricks then you have Bricks Linda and also the emails are repetitive and so are all the other information people donot tend to notice this as they are so busy trying to finish the task which they try to make it as difficult as possible the data provided is in a JPEG format so you cannot copy paste and have to enter everything manually
While half way through the task my laptop stopped working so I tried contacting the person who so called hired me but no response they have a helpline who also did not respond to my msgs so once the time line passed and I was not able to complete the task now they send me a legal notice saying that if I do not do outside court settlement I will be subject to a legal notice with all the sections.
I am a educated person and well aware that no company in the world files a law suit for not finishing the task this is huge fraud network that is plating with people’s emotions who genuinely want work and are desperate in these hard times where we’re fighting with the pandemic on one side we have to deal with such heatless people whose main agenda is to cheat people if their hard earned money by scaring them.
Please such cyber crimes have to be tracked down and cit from its roots.
