I had contacted a number which i had received as an SMS for a data entry job. I’d placed a call asking about the job and they had taken my details and asked me to start with filling the resumes. I was asked to fill 600 resumes within a span of 7 days and that i would be paid a hefty sum for completing the project and before starting i was made to sign a contract without being allowed to read it. There was no prior intimation of an exact amount of fine that had to be paid by me in any case. After a few days I had contacted the alleged customer support team and they informed me that maximum of the details that i was filling in was incorrect although it was in accordance to the instructions sent to me and then they asked me to pay an amount of 6490 via an online wallet. After trying to inform them about the fact that we were working within the mandate, they started pressurising me for the payment upon which i blacklisted their calls and found that numerous complaints had been lodged against the same company for the same scam. I have now received an SMS from ‘QP-LEGALD’ mentioning “M/S. REKHA GOYAL YOUR LEGAL CASE IS GOING FOR LEGAL PROCEEDINGS. KINDLY HIRE A LAWYER AND GO FOR FURTHER PROCESS. WE AT THA RESUME SEARCH ARE GOING WITH LEGAL PROCEEDINGS UNDER SECTION 72,73,74, IN THE INDIAN CONTRACT ACT, 1872. DUE TO VIOLATING THE CONTRACT. CALL FOR MORE DETAILS +91 7600908374”
I haven’t breached the contract in any way because the alleged recruiting team member had me sign a contract without disclosing its terms and conditions entirely.
