I am a resident of Mumbra and a law abiding citizen who live with my wife and Parents. We had MSEB meter Installed almost a decade ago, had no history of non payment of my electricity bill. I have been paying for what I have been using. On an average around Rs.3000 to 4000 and in summer season it goes beyond Rs. 5000 as my electricity bill.
For which I do not have any issues but since the Meter was pretty old, I was planning to raise a request for a meter change but to my suprise ” Torrent Power” Engineers visited on June 6th and changed the meter.
They mentioned that Old meter seems to be tempered and I need to visit Office for an inspection of the same. I argued against their FALSE ALLEGATIONS but they didn’t listen and provided me with an letter which had the same thing mentioned.
To my suprise, when I visited their Office near Bharat Gear Mumbra, I spoke with “Sachin Khairnar” one of their employee and he directly mentioned that I have to pay a hefty fine of around Rs.1,30,000. He was treating me like I was a culprit and he was threatening me about cout proceedings.
In this week they disconnected my power with intimation and just by attaching one slip next to my meter.
Please look into this matter since I believe that Torrent is implying false and hefty fines without any proof.
