I need your help.
I was receiving several days same message on my mobile as Your Paytm account has been suspended Please re-verify your KYC. So on 8th March I clicked the link and put my mobile number and waited for OTP which did not come for a long time so I clicked one icon on the same link to get OTP and I received a call saying that you are having difficulty in getting OTP. He said the OTP is sent and I did received it immediately I put. It went back and asked me to put the information again. These thing happened 2-3 times and meantime Rs. 49, 612.50 was deducted from my SBI card which was linked with Paytm. And then again received message that from ICICI Bank Credit card Rs. 50,629.99 was deducted. Again they tried to take money from SBI Card of Rs. 25,312.50 where the bank got alert and declined and blocked the card and messaged suspected activity and so blocked the card.
I did not share the OTP verbally but just entered in the mobile. I was not aware the they had control over my mobile. My SBI card and ICICI Card was linked with Paytm. On the same day I went to the police station and gave an application which was submitted to both the banks with the dispute form and the stamped application by Police. Next day I did the FIR. Even I tried to inform thru Paytm but could not do it as it gave option only to select it.
The fraudsters did both these payments to PaytmRent Payment. In my personal mailbox I received the Receipt for Rs.49,612.50 which is attached. From ICICI Bank I got to know that the Payment of Rs. 50,629.99 was done for PaYTM Rental.
Now I have got to pay the credit card which is showing these outstanding. Request you to please investigate.
We trust the PAYTM, Phonepe and Gpay to do payments, it something like this happens then it is a problem.
