This is regarding a fake call I received this morning saying my Amazon prime account and my number received a gift on account of the contest that was conducted during the amazon sale.
I received the call from the this number from a person named Rahul Singh from sales and promotions department – 91-8159014282
I was given a list of gift options and was asked to choose any one of the gifts as below.
1. Dell laptop 15.6 inches
2. Sony LED TV 40 inches
3. Apple iPhone 3 plus 32 GB
4. Voltage AC 1.5 tons
5. LG refrigerator 350 lts double door
I selected the 4th option and they gave me a reference number of the product – B07G9NKZ9L which was the number for the AC and asked me to add it into cart. Along with this they asked me to select any product work not less than 4999 and buy that product and along with this order they will send the gift product also.
I selected Tamron macro lens worth 9290 and added it to cart. They asked me to make an online payment using my net banking and not the regular mode of amazon transaction.
The sent an amount of Rs. 9290 through IMPS transfer to the below account.

Amount transferred – 9290
Later they came up saying to transfer a GST amount of 11,000 and then I got to understand it may be a fraud call.
I got a doubt at this stage and called the Amazon customer care who confirmed it’s a fake and spam call.
I lost an amount 9290 because of this fraud.
Your imediate action and help will be highly appreciated.

I also got the same frats call , with same incidence happened with me , and I lost my money too.

I got call but i didnt transfer them , she said she callin from jahannum . I didnt know this place exists on earth.
I also got the same call , with same incidence happened with me today morning same offered i told him i will do till evening but she told me valid only 1 pm and said ok and i contacted amazon chat team and asked about it said directly we dont call any throw direct phone call or any sms we directly officially announce throw mail or web portal . so understood this fraud call and she was called 3 more time i didn’t left call.

I was given a list of gift options same as mentioned above saying that i was one of the lucky customer that have been selected for this gift promotion.
They asked me to buy any product worth 5000 or more and they will provide a giftcode. How i find out that they are fraud. .is that they asked me to transfer the money and not pay through amazon web portal instead they are giving account no. And ifs code. So i explain them that it was risky. I am not interested in this offer. So they ended the call.
Today I got same such phone call from one more fraud.

He said 4999 i have to purchase for minimum, for which offered same gifts. I have to pay to below details so they will attach and send the gift it seems.
I suspected it as fake, as they say only 1 address and 1 order of my amazon. seems like they got from seller. If from amazon,they will say what is my latest order also.
The funny part is i paid them 1 rupee..Token of time spent for phone call with me ?

Today I got same such phone call from Amazon Promotional Team.

A fraud lady from Amazon told me, Sir you have purchased something yesterday and I was given a list of gift options and was asked to choose any one of the gifts as below.

I told him if I had a gift from Amazon, Amazon didn’t send me an email. Alright give me some time and I’ll call back to you later. I tried to contact the original customer care number and didn’t receive any response from there. Then I installed ‘Truecaller’ app and checked, Truecaller showing 12 scam reports.
Then I called back and said I don’t need any promotional offers, Thanks so much.
One last thing, a big company like Amazon will never call and offer you, if there is an offer, they will mail you and send an order to your address.

all offers are same as above.
lost 5000
now they are insisting to pay GST.
Now how to get back this amount.?
