I got a call from FedEx on sunday saying that I am parcelling some illegal items from Mumbai to russia.I said I am staying in Kolkata. someone using my identity.
Below are the details of parcel I got it from FedEx person

Kindly help me in this issue as my identity is misused and also what precautions need to take to avoid such issues in future. also wether this call was fraud or what

I received the same call today. Receiver details are also the same including the name and number but my parcel was supposed to be delivered in Taiwan from Mumbai. I asked the con caller to stay on hold as I was calling the police on the conference call. So she disconnected. I checked both the numbers on Truecalller and they are saved as scams. I also called cyber crime to report this and they also asked me not to respond to these calls as these callers were running a scam.
I also received the same call entailing the same details and when they transferred to the so-called Cybercrime department of Mumbai. I realised that this might be a scam, Hence I disconnected it and when typed the details on Google. I ended up here. Thank you for posting guys.
