Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Bharat Loan and its associated collection agency for the unacceptable and illegal harassment I have been subjected to regarding a loan account in the name of Rampa Mukherjee. I have absolutely no connection to Rampa Mukherjee and have never stood as a guarantor, witness, or in any other capacity related to any loan she may have taken from Bharat Loan.
Despite this fact, I have been receiving persistent and harassing phone calls from your collection agency regarding the repayment of this loan. These calls are causing me significant distress, anxiety, and disruption to my daily life.
More disturbingly, the collection agents have resorted to threatening language and intimidation tactics. I have been explicitly threatened with physical violence and told that they will come to my home and office to harass my family. This behavior is not only unethical and unprofessional but also illegal and constitutes a clear violation of debt collection practices.
I want to reiterate that I have no connection whatsoever to Rampa Mukherjee or the loan in question. Your collection agency seems to have acquired my contact number erroneously and is using it to harass an innocent individual based on no legitimate reason. I have repeatedly informed the collection agents of this fact, but the harassment continues unabated.
I have already filed a complaint with the Cyber Cell regarding this harassment and threats. Unfortunately, I have not yet received an update on the status of my complaint.
I demand that Bharat Loan immediately:
Cease all communication with me regarding the loan account of Rampa Mukherjee.
Investigate the actions of its collection agency and take appropriate disciplinary action against those involved in this harassment and threatening behavior.
Provide me with a written confirmation that my contact information has been removed from your records related to the loan account of Rampa Mukherjee.
I am suffering significant mental distress and anxiety due to this ongoing harassment. I urge you to take immediate action to rectify this situation and prevent further harassment. If the harassment persists, I will be forced to take further legal action to protect myself and my family.
