Text of Complaint by Vishal Jagtap:

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Garve Sons Automobile, Wakad and Ather Energy regarding misleading practices, poor customer service, and denial of services promised at the time of purchase.
I purchased a new Ather electric scooter from Garve Sons Automobile, Wakad. From the beginning, I have faced multiple issues:
BH Number Plate Misrepresentation:
I had specifically requested a BH registration number, and was informed that it could be arranged by paying an additional amount. Despite multiple follow-ups, I was issued an MH registration number after a delay of 53 days from the date of delivery. This delay caused inconvenience and prevented me from using the vehicle.
Extended Warranty Denial:
On 25th August 2025, I paid ₹4,999 for an extended warranty, well within the 90-day eligibility period as per Ather’s policy. Despite repeated follow-ups, the warranty was never reflected in the Ather app. I was told it would be updated after 90 days from the date of purchase. However, I recently received a call from an executive stating that the warranty cannot be extended, and they would refund the amount. This is unacceptable and amounts to misrepresentation and denial of service.
Customer Service Failure:
I have made numerous calls and follow-ups, but there has been no proper response or resolution from Garve Sons or Ather. The lack of accountability and transparency has caused significant distress.
This situation has not only wasted my time and money, but also caused emotional stress. As an electric vehicle, the extended warranty is crucial for long-term reliability and cost protection. Denial of this service puts me at financial risk and undermines the trust I placed in the brand.
Relief Sought:
Immediate activation of the extended warranty as per original commitment.
Compensation for the delay in registration, mental distress, and loss of usage.
Assurance of transparent and accountable customer service going forward.

I request the Consumer Forum to take appropriate action against the concerned parties and ensure that such practices are not repeated with other consumers.
