Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a serious breach of privacy, harassment, and misuse of personal data caused by the mobile application “ScoreClimb”, which I had downloaded.
Upon installing the app, it gained unauthorized access to my phone, including call logs, contacts, and other sensitive data. Initially, I mistakenly accepted a loan amount of ₹1,500 through the app, which I duly repaid. Subsequently, another amount was disbursed to me without clear consent. When I inquired about this, an individual—whose identity I could not verify as an official representative of ScoreClimb—informed me that I could prevent further unwanted disbursals by deselecting an “automatic facility” option shown during the repayment process. I followed this instruction and ensured full and timely repayment of all dues.
Despite settling all outstanding payments, I began receiving threatening and abusive calls from unknown numbers. Worse still, my personal photos appear to have been accessed, morphed, and shared with my contacts, causing severe emotional trauma and reputational damage.
This app is clearly fraudulent and operates unethically by invading users’ privacy, misusing data, and employing threats and harassment to extort payments. I strongly urge the authorities to take immediate action against this app and its operators. I also request that necessary steps be taken to have “ScoreClimb” permanently removed from the Google Play Store to prevent further victims.
I request the following actions:
1. An investigation into the “ScoreClimb” app and the individuals involved.
2. Action to stop the ongoing harassment and threats.
3. Help in removing any morphed or misused content shared without my consent.
4. Protection of my privacy and digital safety.
5. A formal request to Google to remove this app from the Play Store.
Please treat this matter as urgent.
