Sir/Madam
I have made online recharge for the mobile 7358358674 (AIRTEL) on Indian Bank, Hasthinapuram Branch, Chrompet, Chennai-600 044 for Rs.598/- (84 days validity) and the amount has been debited from my bank account whereas recharge was not done by airtel.
Immediately I made written complaint to my Branch (Indian Bank, Hasathinapuram Branch) and also lodged compliant to Nodal Officer, Indian Bank, Chennai and with a copy to my Bank attaching all the details.
For my online complaint with the Bank, I received the following e-mail reply from the Nodal Officer, Indian Bank, Chennai :

At the time of making online payment through netbanking, I got an SMS on 31-05-2020 @ 17:59 from airtel as under “
Bill payment of Rs.598 has been initiated towards your airtel mobile 7358358674.
Txn ID: 200531168964. The payment will get posted to your airtel account within maximum 4 hours. Please keep this Txn ID for future reference.
And another message on 31-05-2020 at 18:07 as under :
Bill payment of Rs.598 has been initiated towards your airtel mobile 7358358674.
Txn ID: 200531173122. The payment will get posted to your airtel account within maximum 4 hours. Please keep this Txn ID for future reference.
But to my surprise, recharge was not done.
Since, the bank has already made payment to you (refer their mail as above), you are requested to refund/remitrevert back the money Rs.598/- (REASON : PAYMENT MADE BUT RECHARGE NOT DONE) to my account with Indian Bank, Hasthinapuram Branch, Chrompet, Chennai – 600 044 immediately.
I herewith attach all correspondences in support of my claim.
An early action is requested please.
