Due to nationwide lockdown because of COVID-19 declared on March 2020, my flights booked on Mon, Feb 17, 2020, with Booking ID FF2002175179567 and PNR AVAAAD for an amount of Rs.28099/- has been canceled.
I was waiting all these months for the flights to resume from CCJ TO JED and hence refund was not availed. But still, flight services are not resumed on the same route yet. However, due to health conditions, my parents are not able to travel on a future date. Therefore, I requested Flipkart travel to issue a refund regarding the same.
But they replied to me that since it was 1 year ago, my booking has expired now, and the ticket has no value. They asked me to contact Etihad Airlines for a refund.
Accordingly, I contacted Etihad Customer Support many times and they are saying that they don’t process refunds directly for tickets issued by a third party from their end. They asked me to inform the Flipkart travel agent to get in touch with them directly through Etihad Sales Representative if they need any assistance or clarification on my refund request.
But when I again Contacted again Flipkart, they are still asking me to contact Etihad for a refund.
