I bought a Redmi note 7 phone for my mother from Flipkart on 22nd may 2022. The phone I got had no seal or the IMEI sticker Xiaomi phones usually have. So I filed a return request and they denied it by assuring that it’s a genuine device and don’t worry about it. They even send a service person to my home to say it. But last month the phone suddenly stopped working and when I reached Xiaomi service center they said the phone isn’t genuine and it’s not registered in their system. Upon closer inspection they confirmed that it’s a refurbished phone and the accessories are also not branded. So then I started complaining to Flipkart. I have already opened more than 20 complaints on this case as they keep closing it without giving any solutions. They keep asking for a job sheet from service center which I can’t provide. Because they can’t take take it for service without verifying the device, which is not possible without a valid IMEI number.
