Flipkart provided me with a refurbished phone instead of new product

Hi

I would like to raise a complaint regarding Flipkart order number OD430073409071013100. The order for Vivo Y100 (colour twilight gold) was placed on 30th December 2023. The product was delivered on 3rd January 2024.

Since the very beginning the phone started disturbing. It auto restarts multiple times in a day. All saved contacts disappear. I have to restore all contacts time and again. At times the phone refuses to unlock. Face ID, fingerprint, unlock pattern, nothing seems to work.

I initially contacted Flipkart to highlight this issue and requested to return the product on 6th January 2024. Flipkart denied to help and mentioned that the product cannot be returned. They informed me to contact Vivo After Sale Service Center. The product continued to show similar issues and I took it to the server center on 16th January 2024. The engineer checked the phone and mentioned that this is a REFURBISHED PRODUCT. Even though the phone is not even 1 month old, they denied to replace it.

Nowhere in the Flipkart application was it mentioned that this is a refurbished second hand product. I have paid 20000 for a brand new phone and I have been given a refurbished one for the same price.

I consider this a serious fraudulent activity and I demand a complete refund along with compensation for this. I have enclosed the engineer report in this email. I’ll be taking this up further in case I do not receive a satisfactory response ASAP
