I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I have received regarding a refund of late payment charges associated with my Flipkart Pay Later account. As a long-standing and loyal customer of Flipkart, I have consistently enjoyed the convenience and quality of service your platform offers. However, my recent experience has left me profoundly disappointed.
On August 13, 2023, I paid my dues to IDFC Bank, Flipkart’s partner bank, in the amount of INR 1225. This payment included INR 225 as late payment charges. Prior to making this payment, I was explicitly assured by Flipkart’s customer service representatives that the INR 225 in late payment charges would be promptly refunded to me.
Regrettably, despite my efforts in raising five separate complaints on this matter, I have yet to receive any resolution or the promised refund. My attempts to seek assistance from your customer service team have resulted in false promises and unfulfilled commitments. On numerous occasions, your representatives assured me that the refund would be processed within 24 to 48 hours. However, to my dismay, I have not received any reimbursement to date.
What adds to my distress is the detrimental impact this situation has had on my credit score. Because of Flipkart’s failure to address this issue promptly, my credit score has dramatically dropped from 720 to 580. This has caused significant personal and financial stress, as I am now unable to apply for various financial products and services due to the lowered credit score.
Moreover, I have observed a troubling pattern where Flipkart closes my complaints without providing any satisfactory resolution. In a recent response to a complaint I filed on a consumer court platform, I was told to contact IDFC Bank for further assistance. However, this response is far from acceptable. As my lending partner, it is the responsibility of Flipkart to address and resolve this issue effectively. When I reached out to IDFC Bank, they informed me that the matter is beyond their control, and I should contact Flipkart for resolution.
I am now at a loss for a proper course of action, and my creditworthiness continues to suffer as a result of this ongoing dispute. It has been a full month since I initially raised this issue, and I find myself in a state of frustration and financial difficulty.
