Text of Complaint by P Deepak:

I got a IVR call from 8069808686 on Friday June 2nd 2023 9:29 PM saying my account has been accessed through some other device and if it wasn’t you please click “1” , then it says if you wish to block the access please enter the OTP sent on you mobile number. I tried to enter the OTP in 1st attempt and i entered it incorrect . I got again call from sane which I can’t here anything , like this it happened around 3times and finally I was able to here and entered the otp and IVR call responded saying thank you and call got disconnected.

Saturday around 3:39 PM it was observed that 5 transactions each with 5000 has been performed on my mobikwik wallet to JIO.

I have observed this Sunday morning and downloaded the Mobikwik app and verified the zip wallet of 25000 has been transferred to some JIO as it shows in the history.

I have selected one transaction and marked it as fraud activity and after that my account was blocked . Later I have received an email from them saying we are investigating.
After that I have sent a email to “ [email protected]” about all 5 transactions telling them all are fraud transactions and requested them to look and revert the wallet balance.

Main thing I wanted to let you know Is that
1. People who are working in the customer care department are doing this fraud and they are tampering the otp with IVR calls. The original thieves are from Mobikwik team only as they can only manage IVR calls.

2. IVR call says your account has been accessed through other device but when you see the OTP on the mobile it says ..OTP to link so and account is *******. Everyone assumes that the call is genuine and tries to enter the OTP.

Please resolve this case and refund the wallet balance.

Note: I observed the same kind of theft has happened to other people and a strict action has to be taken and make people aware that they have to open SMS and read it completely before entering.
