Text of Complaint by Pratyush Shounikya:

Dear Sir,

I am a long time user of Airtel and unlike most of your customers who switched to Jio after its entrance in the Telecom Market, I chose to stay with your company.
But I’m surprised at the recent change of plans, not at the revision of prices of the packs but at the change in rules for SMS facilities.
I have an existing plan of 99 rupees on my number which doesn’t allow me to send messages from my number, so I used to previously do a recharge of Rs. 10 so I could send messages which seemed manageable at that time considering the meagre amount but now when I did the same, it did not go through so I had a word with your costumer care executive who informed me that I have to have a minimum recharge of Rs. 155 in order to send messages which seems pretty unfair as well as a foul play in the telecom market.
I’m not sure how you can fix this, but then if I cannot post my grievance here or reach out to you, I will be left with no other option but to approach the court of law.
If I have to pay an amount of Rs. 155 just so I can send a Re.1 SMS, this seems like bullying a loyal customer who chose to stay. This also doesn’t comply with the TRAI rules.
Therefore, it is my humble request to kindly resolve this grievance of mine and many other loyal customers of yours, else we will be left with not other option than settling with more cheaper options available in the market!

Regards
Your Loyal Customer
