I initiated a transaction with Best Buy on November 23, 2023, using my Fi Money account linked to a Visa card. Best Buy cancelled the order, and a refund was processed, but then the refunded amount was debited again and sent back to Best Buy on November 29, 2023, without my authorization. In response, I initiated a chargeback through Fi Money, who, along with their partner Federal Bank, have been unhelpful and inefficient in handling the situation, denying the standard provision of a provisional credit/refund and extending the resolution timeline to 55 days. Best Buy denies receiving the second payment, as confirmed in chat transcripts, yet Fi Money has indicated that if Best Buy doesn’t respond to the chargeback, I will incur the loss, leaving me in a precarious financial and stressful situation.
