Text of Complaint by Suresh Kodwani.:

I am writing this message with great disappointment. Never expected such pathetic service from anyone. Have ordered Oneplus phone from amazon, got it delivered on 26/10/202. The phone was dead on arrival, so I raised an escalation to customer service team who mentioned that a technician first needs to check the product before a replacement is issue. I agreed to the same and technician arrived on 31/10/2020, he check and confirm its manufacturing fault and issued replacement. The delivery of replacement phone was supposed to be done on 02/11/202. The delivery guy came and refused to exchange the phone stating he can not switch on the phone and get the IEMI number, I was bit surprised and frustrated, tried to explain him that phone is not getting switched on hence replacement was done, however he refused to listen to anything. Asked to speak to his supervisor, who turned out to be worst then him. I was asked to contact customer service, tried calling amazon customer service team spoke to a rep who asked to hold the line and was kept on hold for 20 minutes only to learn nothing can be done. The delivery guy had cancelled the exchange stating
“We could not deliver your order since the exchange item did not meet Amazon’s requirements”
Spoke to a supervisor about the same who mentioned that replacement can not be done. Will arrange for return and refund the amount. Once refund is done can book a new phone. However since the sake and offer is over its costing me Rs 7000 more than what I booked it for. Tried to explain this to the customer care supervisor how ever she refused to listen.

I have call recording where in the supervisor have accepted that it’s the fault of person who has process the exchange as it was not mentioned correctly that phone is dead on arrival and then the fault of delivery guy. However nothing can be done and I have to pay the extra amount now if I want to buy the phone.

Its seems Amazon.in is trying to fool their customer’s, and to top it up they provide a pathetic customer treatment.
