Hi Team,

Please consider it as a High Priority Issue since I’ve tracked and found few other customers who already fell into the trap of this fraud guy who calls himself Alok Kumar Singh. He sent me a message “Dear customer congratulations in Shopclues company you are second lucky win Tata Nexon Car contact for = ****”

I figured it out as a fake message as the English was written really badly. I didn’t respond but he still called me and told me the same thing in broken hindi.

He mentioned that he is calling from Shopclues Kolkatta and he is some sort of branch manager which was certainly a lie and evident since he couldn’t understand english and requested me to speak in hindi. When I questioned him regarding his identity, he immediately forwarded me a fake shop clues employee card, Adhar card and the Pan card.

He told me to submit 5000 rs to create car insurance and RC papers and the car would be delivered within 24 hours. I asked for some time to search more and came across this consumer complaint court page where few other people have already reported about the same guy and unfortunately they’ve transferred the money to him. I called him back and grilled him angrily but he still seem to be shameful and was adamant that he is genuine which was ridiculous. I didn’t invest more time and disconnected the call. Later, I blocked him as well.

My point of concern is regarding Shopclues online shopping which is not reliable at all. Our data is shared with the random fraud people who’ve the audacity to call us and they attempt to fool us to invest some money and to get a car or other expensive things in return! Please don’t buy anything from Shopclues as your information is not secure and can be misused by the fake people. I hope some action is taken seriously against Shopclues and the fraud people as I’ve seen few people reporting the issue against the same guy and the instance in August and June.
