I am a fresher and looking for a job for which I registered on different job portals and one of these was Shine.com. I registered over there yesterday and surprisingly I received a call just 1 hr later after the registration for a job vacancy in Indigo airlines as an HR. She told me about all the process and job description and in the end told me to deposit 1500 rs. as a security fee and said it is refundable to you after your joining. At first I thought of depositing money but then I realized that it could be a fake call as I have heard about these fake calls and no company charges any type fee. So, I rejected that offer. I said directly No to her and she disconnected the call.
After that, on the sane day in the evening I got another call from different number and this time there was a male voice and he said that I am calling from Glassdoor job services and you have applied for a job of HR and described the hiring process for Jio company. I thought this is a genuine call because he didn’t ask for any money. Then he took my WhatsApp number and sent me a link of an online aptitude test..I completed that test and got selected for 2nd round that was PI. He transferred the call to the HR of Jio company and he took my interview. All the things made me realize that this is not a fake call as the interviewer communication skills(English) was so good. After that I got selected as HR executive and hee said that his vendor (Glassdoor) employee will send you the mail for joining the company. Then I received a screenshot on my WhatsApp of that mail. And, in the mail all the details were written and to deposit 2500 rs as verification fee was also written. I called that Glassdoor employee for this and he said it is for verification of your documents. I understood right there that this was also a fraud call as no company ask money for verifying documents. I said him directly in a rude manner that why are you making such fraud calls, I will complaint against you. He started arguing with me like what are you saying, you don’t have complete knowledge about our policies and ai disconnected the call. After that I searched on Google for these fraud calls and I was shocked to see that how many complaints have already been registered.
I received a call just now also from work India and she said she has taken all the details from shine.com. I directly said that is there any fee for this she said yes, there is 2000 rs. I got angry and said that I will complaint against you. She started abusing me and told me to remove your resume from shine.com.
- So I started getting calls after registering on shine.com. I think I have made a mistake by posting my details over shine.com It is not at all safe.
