I have planned to port my mobile no from Vodafone/IDEA/VI to Jio. After multiple calls from Idea customer care to persuade cancellation which they failed, I have got a call from a fake no. 8860952395 and he mentioned that he is calling from Vi and this is a porting verification call . He is offering me 199 gold plan unlimited calls and 200GB data. For that, I have to send an SMS ‘CANCEL <mobile no.>’ to 1900. He forced me to message while being online talking to him. Once I send the SMS, I got a cancellation message from jio. Now this person is not picking up my call. I don’t know how they got our details. I want strict action on this issue so that no one would face this issue further.
