We have taken AMC for our Eureka forces water filter, we got a call saying service due and AMC is also expiring, we actually couldn’t recall when it was expiring , we said ok and visit for service, the guy came and did service and we renewed our AMC for next two years. This happened on 21st September 2023. Today we got call from Eureka forces saying service is due, we were like no it is done last month and then they told no it might be faurd as many customers are getting trapped by fake companies like this and asked to check receipt if we have. Then when we checked it was written as AQUAGUARd fresh pro. So we lost our 9.5K, tried calling that person, but reply.

Steps to take in order:
1. As soon as you suspect foul play, inform your bank by phone and also by an email complaint. In your email, provide a screen shot of the transaction and the account to which transferred.
2. Register compliant in the National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) website.
3. Register complain in the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal website under “Financial Fraud”

4. Reversal of amount to your account will usually takes upto/ app. 90 days after your bank investigates (if the company is genuinely fake/fraud) the matter.
Cyber Crime Portal. Dial – 1930
• Online cyber complaint will be registered immediately by dialling 1930.
• Victim will receive an acknowledgement number through SMS after registering complaint with which he can track the complaint status.
• If victim registers complaint within 24 hours and update all the related information on cyber portal then Bank alert at fastest mode and chances of financial recovery is high.
• Fraudster Account will be freezed with in fraction of
time.
• Compliants are mapped to the nearest cyber police station according to victim Pincode.
• Fraudster Mobile numbers will be blocked.
• Victim can view and listen all types of cyber frauds on the cyber portal itself.
• Money freezed through cyber portal can reclaim victim through court order.
