I am an Airtel customer from almost 12 years by now, and my no 9845787352 it’s in usage since 2006.
This is with regards to the bill amount of 3428.54 for the month of November I have been charged for no fault of mine. I am highly discontent and disappointed with the way the airtel staff has handled this issue & this is the worst of Customer service experience I had ever encountered with.
Let me provide you the details of the issue:
I had landed in Dubai a couple of months back & my no were barred from receiving incoming calls. Hence I had asked my friend in Bangalore Airtel Nandidurga road office to visit and check with the staff. The staff had then given him an email id asking me to send an email highlighting my issue & she had also confirmed that your no will be active & all incoming calls will be free of cost (This was a verbal communication). After I had send the email to 121@in.airtel.com on 12th Oct 4:46 I got an response on 15th Oct saying basic International Roaming (IR) service has been activated without providing any details about the cost and charges which applies to the services except the 2 sentences below. (Email attached)
* All incoming sms in IR free
* All other service will be charged as per standard tariff.
Again I had received the email on 16th as well even that fails to provide the information related to cost and charges applicable to services. (Email attached)

He says these are valid and I have to pay at any cost . He is trying to defend his team with one sentence “All other service will be charged as per standard tariff.” For which he says this sentence contains all the information what a customer needs to know. |
Is this how a tenured customer should be treated? In the era of information and technology where in we have multiple competitors for all kind of services, just by writing an ambiguous sentence do you think all the necessary information has been provided to the customer? And airtel is in no mood to accept their mistake.
This is really pathetic highly pathetic and disappointing , at any point of time I am afraid I am not in favor of paying the charges for the services which I have not used and for which I was not been made fully perceive off.
I can continue using my service only if airtel waive of these charges.
