Dear Sir,
I’m writing with regards to the excess (more than three times my normal bill) bill received – dated 4th July 2020.
I’ve read (online) Adani Electricity’s explanation for the sent bill, and, it still doesn’t justify the current bill amount (4990/-) against my Adani electricity account 102708641 registered as Stany Veigas.
My monthly bill for January (bill dated 1st February 2020) amounted to 1,160/- and thereafter bills were as follows:
Bill dated 3rd March 2020, amount 1230/-
Bill dated 3rd April 2020, amount 1130/-
Bill dated 4th May 2020, amount 1160/-
Bill dated 2nd June 2020, amount 1060/-
Bill dated 4th July 2020, amount 4990/-
These billing figures clearly indicate a steep hike in the bill amount. So, even after paying the average bill plus the current bill, (which includes the arrears as stated by Adani) I’m paying over 7,000/- (approximate) for three months, which is what I would usually pay for six/seven months that’s still double. Even if we account for us (my family) being at home during the lockdown the bill could be slightly more around 1500/- month average.
Moreover, we faced frequent power cuts during the lockdown period, of which one lasted for couple of hours – I’m not certain about the date on that. But below are some reference numbers of the registered complaints.
Date: 7th May 2020, reference no 134900520
Date: 8th May 2020, reference no. 150800520
(These are references numbers from SMS sent by Adani). Few other power cuts alerts were sent by the company itself.
I’m sure how this works but I would appreciate if the company could shed some light here or consider a re-evaluation of my bill. I hope to have some cooperation during these difficult times.
Thanks for your help.
Stephen
