I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Amazon.in regarding a significant and unresolved issue I have encountered as a consumer. The matter pertains to an online purchase I made on 5th aug 2023, specifically Order # 405-5714379-8102710, which involved the acquisition of a Seagate Skyware 2 TB hard disk worth Rupees 4999/-.
Upon receipt of the aforementioned product, it became evident that the hard disk was damaged and unfit for use. In accordance with the established protocol, I promptly initiated a return request via the Amazon website. To my dismay, it appeared that the return window had closed on 22 August 2023 (as corroborated by the attached screenshot). Acting promptly, I registered my return request on 21 August 2023.
In an earnest endeavor to resolve this matter, I engaged with Amazons customer care team on multiple occasions—exceeding ten interactions. Regrettably, the response I received remained consistent: the return window was deemed closed, thereby precluding any possibility of processing my return request. This stance is incongruent with the timeline I adhered to, as my request was submitted well within the stipulated return period.
In my pursuit of rectifying this situation, I affix herewith the attached screenshot, definitively displaying the closure of the return window on 22 August 2023. Despite providing this incontrovertible evidence from Amazons official website, my plea has been met with persistent denial. This leads me to speculate that there might exist internal miscommunication or misunderstanding contributing to this matter’s escalation.
Given the aforementioned circumstances, and in light of Amazon unwillingness to address the issue, I am left with no choice but to escalate this matter to the Consumer Court. My purpose in reaching out to the Consumer Court is to seek impartial intervention, aiming to achieve a just resolution to this disconcerting ordeal. I firmly believe in the principles of fairness and consumer rights, and I am hopeful that the Consumer Court will uphold these ideals.
I beseech the Consumer Court to carefully examine the evidence I present and deliberate on the authenticity of my claim. My objective remains aligned with securing a resolution that recognizes both my rights as a consumer and the principles of ethical business conduct that ought to govern commercial transactions.
I kindly request that this matter be attended to promptly, as its protraction has caused me undue distress and frustration. Your intervention is pivotal in reinstating my faith in consumer protection mechanisms and ethical business practices.
