Hi all,
On Nov 24, 2022 I placed an order to import items from the US from dvbeauty.in. I chose her because she gave a delivery timeline of 20-22 days and I needed the products soon. No other seller committed for less than 28 days. Further, her stated margin was around 30% over USD (as opposed to 50%+ over USD that many others state). She took 70% of the total order amount upfront, and it was quite a lot of money as the items were expensive
Since she was a new seller (to me), and all of the products were only available online, I asked her to send me order confirmations from the website or some sort of proof of purchase. At first she was reluctant as she kept insisting “her brother would find them in store” (which is impossible). However, she later agreed.
This never occurred, as she kept finding excuses and for every small thing. Her go-to scapegoat is her brother. She will say that she will confirm details about the order with him, and will respond within a day, but won’t. When prompted days or weeks later, she says she still hasn’t asked.
She wasn’t even able to send images of the items in his/her possession when she said the ETA was 1 week. This was on Dec 19. I, obviously, did not receive the products a week later.
I have been asking her for a refund for a while now, and at first she completely refused. She briefly offered a partial refund, which was a pathetically small percentage of the money I sent her. However, she later recanted that offer as well, as she sent me screenshots of “her” bank account with no money in it along with a sob story about how she has nothing to refund because she chose to take a holiday for a month.
As of Jan 9th, she has completely stopped responding to my messages. She is posting sales and deals on her insta, though.
For comparison, in the same timeframe, I’ve imported items with @internationalmakeup_. She suspected the package was lost as she hadn’t gotten any updates in a while, and immediately (and without question) provided me a full refund. I’ll be sticking with her in future even though she is considerably more expensive.
I understand that part of the blame is on me here, as I ordered from someone without any reviews from personal friends/anyone I knew in real life. However, several things about the account made me think the products and service were genuine and her prices were great compared to other IG sellers. I’ve learned my lesson here, and don’t think I’ll see my money again, but just wanted to make this post so that nobody else unwittingly orders from this scammer.

This account DVBEAUTY.IN has changed their name to AVBEAUTY.IN and they have done this to many customers, including myself. They ignore all our messages and tell lies that it is stuck in customs or come up with an excuse. They also manipulate their customers. In one instance, they asked their customers for money because they need it for an emergency. I mean, no seller does this. In that instance, my suspicion got confirmed that they must be a scam. They always upload stories that there is some emergency and that’s why they did not ship the product and they will write a random date and say they will ship out by then but never do. They are a total fraudster who has taken money from their customers and has not sent the products for months, and I don’t even know if I will ever get the products that I ordered or the refund. But I will stand my ground to fight this scammer.
I understand you have not received any money from them and I am constantly messaging them for a refund as well. Please stick around so that you get your refund. It is time for them to refund everyone’s money.
