Attention : Grievances Department

Dear Sir/ Madam
We are seeking your assistance in the above matter as our mothers subscription was automatically cancelled by Tatasky despite paying the entire annual subscription fees in advance. I have summarised below the sequence of events:
1) A full annual subscription cost from November 2020 to 27th November 2021 was paid to Tatasky for a basic Hindi HD package Amount Rs 3000.

2)However in July2021, Tatasky abruptly cancelled the subscription without any notification. On our follow up with Tatasky Panaji office, we were informed that the services were canceled due to price increase. This was appalling as how can a service be terminated when one has paid the entire cost for annual service in advance.?

3) After much discussion and follow up, as a temporary fix Tata sky Goa requested that we pay additional cost for two months Fee of Rs 397(Min amount to be able to restore the service)

4) it was noted that the service was not restored and only one channnel zee tv specifically was available to the subscriber and the balance showed only the top up amount.
5) we escalated the matter again to Tatasky who did a refresh and now the subscriber is able to see all channels but the the costs appear to be deducted from the top up value.

What happened to the entire annual cost paid by the subscriber and why is the balance not showing?
This matter needs to be investigated and complete services for the annual subscription paid by subscriber needs to be restored.
In addition a credit for the additional top up subscriber paid Rs 397 despite having a valid contract for annual subscription is to be made.
The subscriber is a Senior citizen 74 years of age who is a dementia patient, living away from family and whose only source of entertainment is the tv. This entire episode has caused not only frustration but sheer inconvenience to her children who are living overseas and doing everything possible to restore the service so that their mother’s health and well being is maintained.
