Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally escalate an issue regarding my recent internet bill and the lack of satisfactory resolution from Jio customer care team. I used their fiber services for more than 25 months.
I was billed an additional Rs. 100, with an additional 18% tax for over a year, which I find unclear and unexplained. More importantly, I have been continuously charged for a set-top box service bundled with Wi-Fi, which has not been in use for over a year. Despite multiple attempts to clarify and request a revision of these charges through your customer care channels, no effective support or resolution has been provided.
This ongoing issue is not only frustrating but also unfair, as I am being billed for a service I do not use and have previously requested to be discontinued.
The issue was escalated to customer care for the revision of the plan and collection of set-top box in June’24, and the Set-top box was collected by the excecutive but plan was not revised.
Post-surrender of the set-top box, I contacted the customer care for the revised plan and was asked to change the plan through the mobile-based app, and no help or support from their side.
The mobile-based service was inefficient, and all plans were subscription-based with a set-top box, which I had already surrendered. (App screenshot attached)
And I was still charged additional Rs. 100 +18% GST till Dec’24, Outstanding of Rs. 246.91 is reflecting against my name.
And due to it, I have been denied a fresh connection for the last 3 months. Amount of Rs. 1234 was paid by me on the 10th of February’25. [Request no: LR00000G0MBA]-Transaction ID: [20250210210320000095669812828484179]
Services and refunds are both being denied by the company.
I kindly request the following:
A detailed explanation of the current charges, including the Rs. 100 base and the added tax.
Immediate removal of the set-top box charges from my billing account.
Refund or adjustment for the period during which the set-top box was inactive.
Confirmation that no future charges will be applied for unused services.
