My Father took a very small amount of loan from the dhani app, I am sure if it be okay reveal here so, i just a round figure, it was less then 30k.Out of the loan only 6 installment of 2200 rs was left.
however my passed away in the oxygen and corona crisis of may in the year of 2021, Leaving us without a bread winner in the family, Being the eldest son, I without wasting much time emailed the customer center at dhani, With an death certificate attached, and condition that states that we would, repay the loan if it recalculated was turned into a 1000 rs installment..no responce was received not even any acknowledgement.
From the month of june, we started receiving, many call some days 5 times a day from the dhani collection office, which is based in chandighar i was told.
that first refuse to collect the death certificate, out right, (no whatapp, no email) and always end the call with same line, that we have updated your info, and you won’t receive any calls from us. i even have recording for this, but it never works.
Next days we get calls, more threatnig then the last, they always ask us to bring my father on the phone, as if he was hidind, feel very insulted everytime.
After months when they finally come around, collecting the death certificate, but refuse to collect it by the email, and want me to go to the office, which is based in mumbai, we live in delhi, loan was given with online app and wanted to visit an physical office for their convience, I even asked the represetative to tell me an office in delhi, but they always ask me to find the office yourself, kinda responce, Just exactly how i was supposed to find an place that handle dhani accouns and online trascation issue in delhi, i have no idea….Once again this continue for months…
Around octuber, after months of back and forth, they finally send someone to collect the death certificate from us, that guy, took the death certificate and then ask for a closing from us, any amound he said, will help. We refuse offcourse with any proper documets, the guy didn’t even have an laptop, to update the info on the dhani.
we finally thought that was the end of it, …But nope, call continue after a couple of weeks,
Now, Once again form a office in delhi, that once again asked us for death certificate, imagine the humilation our family faces because of this on daily., the guy said asked us to send the certificate on whatsapp, and ask for a fee on something 100 rs. we were descrapte at this point, we paid the guy, send the death certificate and finally collection office calls. It litreally took bribe to stop. or that what we thought…..call are stopped….
ONLY TO BE REPALACED BY THE COMPUTER CALLS,..asking us to pay back the loan, otherwise our property will be conficated, then advocate was alloted for us in one court then some other count, every other week, Then finally warning computer calls, Then show cause messages in the style of court langauge. Then finally from christmas finaly warning that threatean legal action from jan 1 2022 if we didn’t pay. It is literally like less then 15k,
I don’t know what i am supposed to do, how in the hell am i supposed to convienced my father died, and can’t repay the loan other than sending death certificate…
