Text of Complaint by Vikalp Choudhary:

We recently moved to Gurgaon in Lagoona Apartments behind Ambience mall. For internet connection we were given the number of Mr. Govind who is the local airtel representative. His number is 7007049135

Yesterday i e on 03/11/2021 he asked me to make the full payment of amount Rs. 3536 towards starting broadband services of Airtel Xtream fibre. I made the full payment at around 5 pm yesterday evening. On calling Mr. Govind after making the payment he confirmed to me that the payment had been made but said the router connection will not be able to be done yesterday but it would be done today i.e. on 04/11/2021.

4th November being Diwali day we asked him again if the connection will be done since this was a national holiday to which he assured us nevertheless it will be done on Diwali day. We were requesting him to get the connection done prior to diwali since we were to go out of Delhi for a couple of days post diwali.

Today on 4th of November he has not been picking up our call since the morning and when we called him from a different number he picked up the call and refused to provide the service today. On reminding him of his assurance yesterday he rudely told us that please take the payment back but I will not provide you any service. He then started arguing with us and then disconnected the call midway.

It is to be duly noted that if the connection could not have been done on Diwali day we should not have been given false assurance that it would be done. Also , the rude behaviour of your executive is extremely disappointing. Clearly , your executive is taking advantage of the fact that Airtel has a monopoly in providing broadband services in our society.

Please take note of this executive. It paints an extremely bad picture of Airtel and word of mouth of service spreads quickly.
