I am an Idea user and since they merge with Vodafone, I am getting SMS from different numbers which says the service i requested has been activated.. This has happened before too, and each time some amount of money is being deducted. And I can assure you, I neither requested nor given permission for such “services”. The latest one is given below:
“Hi! We have received & are processing your request for service How to videos. Just sit back & relax, you will receive a confirmation within 2 hours.”
“Hello! Your How to videos is activated. Amount charged is Rs 7.00 /- for 1Day. Renewal charge is Rs 49.00@1Week. To deactivate, SMS STOP to 155223. Set your favorite Song as Callertune, click bit.ly/Songct .For more songs, dial 1234 (Tollfree). PLAY cricket contests & WIN Rs100 COUPON.Click bit.ly/3l7an2Z Your balance is Rs.6.20/-”
Of course, I deactivated when I saw them in the morning. I hope I’ll not be subjected to this kind of harassment in the future.
