Really bad experience with the Red bus bookings.
I have booked the bus ticket from Indore to Mumbai for today i.e. on 11.06.2021. The ticket was confirmed. So I booked the return ticket of mine alongwith my parents (who are staying in Mumbai) throught Red bus only. The return journey date was 13.06.2021.
Suddenly in the morning (11.06.2021) I got a call from bus traveller that your bus from Indore to Mumbai is been cancelled. No reason mentioned by the bus operator. So I booked another ticket from different traveller. In the afternoon I got a call from that traveller also that your bus is been cancelled. If this is the case then why Red bus has shown the seats availability on their app?
So due to the reason not attributed to me the buses tickets are getting cancelled. So what should I do with the return ticket. It is of no use for me now. I had spent Rs. 4830 for the return journey. I tried to call the customer care of Red bus and the customer care representative shown his helplessness in this case. I requested him to escalated the matter to higher ups. So I got a call from his senior and he also show his helplessness in this matter. He asked me to cancel the ticket from my end. Unnecessarily I made a loss of 460 Rs for no fault of mine. For a middle-class person like me, Rs 460 is a big amount.
I am using Red bus platform to book the bus tickets. Red bus is getting commission from the bus operator for the booking so it is responsibility of the Red bus to intervene in such cases.
Think in an unbiased way, can anyone explain to me what is my mistake in this matter. I have booked the ticket through redbud app. The bus operator cancelled my ticket. Forcefully I have to cancel my return ticket which was booked through Red bus app only. And in nutshell I am the sufferer and loser
