I, Abhishek kumar, ordered a mobile phone, ie, Motorola Edge 50 Pro for my father, Shashi Kant Kumar on 12th July 2025. The phone got delivered on 21st July 2025, but my father received the brand new mobile in DEAD condition. Neither it switched on, nor was getting charged. On 22nd July, my father took it to Motorola Service Center, and there they checked and in the Customer copy provided, they mentioned as “Set Dead”. So, we asked Motorola service center to replace it and provide a new mobile. But they denied replacement as they said They wont replace mobile purchased from Amazon. After this, we contacted Amazon Customer care and asked for the replacement. They replied as they either want DOA(Dead on Arrival) certificate or Denial Certificate from Motorola to proceed with replacement. Then we contacted Motorola Customer Support and they replied as they wont provide Denial or DOA letter. Same reply was given by Motorola Service Center and they just provided us with the Delivery Note where it was mentioned “Set Dead”. Neither of Amazon or Motorola is ready to proceed with the replacement even when we have 10 days replacement policy with Amazon and The Motorola company replaces the item if replacement is asked within 7 days of delivery. What is the policy or agreement between Amazon and Motorola, we as a Customer are not bothered. We have received a defective product on Delivery, which is completely DEAD, so we need a replacement.
