I tried the online lending application Pesohere. It promised fast processing and low interest. I didn’t expect the exorbitant platform fees and other fees deducted from the loan disbursement. For P3,500 loan, I only received P2,000. The term was 7 days for such a high interest and they start harrassing you by text messages and phone calls 2 days before your due date. They require you to pay before 11am of the due date or else they start to contact everyone in your phone book. They said their access was for credit evaluation only, not for collection methods.
This online company aims to put their borrowers in a cycle of loans to extort more money from helpless Filipinos they terrorize. Because you are afraid to miss their deadlines, you start to borrow more until you realize you are in a very deep hole created by these unscrupulous loan sharks.
