I was searching for a data entry job. I applied for some in quikr app. I got a call from the day I applied. They told me there is no application fee. But after registration, someone called me to verify the registration and mentioned that the application fee will be deducted from my first salary. I was not convinced about it. So I asked them to cancel my registration. But they told me that there will be a cancellation fee of Rs.1500. I rejected it. But they threatened me that they will file a case against me in court. I was very frightened because I uploaded my photo, signature, and adhaar details during registration. So, I paid them Rs.1500. But after that, they asked me to pay Rs.1500 to issue NOC. So I just deleted my whatsapp account and email id. I don’t know what to do. They didn’t mention the application fee and cancellation fee before registration. They told me everything is free of cost.
