There is one family in our neighborhood, was well known by lot of us as they lived nearby, in and around December they started taking money from all of us [ sum of 1000 rupees ] we all gave them trusting them as neighbours in return they promised us a data entry job. we had the speculation that it might be fraud but they offered us the work on the official website of the well known PSU bank SBI due to which we thought that, being a government website it cannot be subject to fraud. we worked for approximately 2 months they promised to give a salary of approx. 10,000 but after two months the family denied any money, they denied giving back even our 1000 rupees we paid as registration , and said not to go to their house to ask for our money back, they started threatening us, they claimed that company’s boss had flew away, but initially we were told that they know the boss personally they promised that they from there house will pay the money, now we feel cheated, there were lot of us but most of us had given them money in cash, they now tell us that we cannot do anything and threatened us to file fake case against us. some of us also have the screenshot of PAYTM which we did to them, but many people lack the will to complaint, the police said us to go back they said, you people have no evidence, we feel cheated and we feel that this system is too flawed, that it cannot do anything of such fraudsters, they’re roaming freely in front of our eyes, we feel so hopeless that this system can do nothing, can take no action against these criminals, it motivates people to do crimes because they know that this system can do nothing of them.
