This guy is a fraudster, operating under the name Akshay Kumar, and is pretending to be a Captain in the Indian Army.
He called from the number 9777676993.
He was immediately interested in the property without even seeing any pictures of the property in question.
While on the call, we realized that his language, mannerisms, etc are nowhere near that of a supposed Captain in the Army. All we asked is that we don’t use Gpay or online platforms (because we didn’t want to deal in those platforms because of fraud) and that he should submit a cheque for the transaction. Our suspicions were confirmed when he said that his army office doesn’t support cheque system. He started getting tensed and talking in a louder and more irritated voice, finally, when we angrily said that send your ID if you’re really interested, he cut the call and didn’t call back after that.
Thus, we were able to identify the fraudster and hence avoid any loss.
