I write today in utter disappointment. I have been an active customer of airtel for years now and I had recharged for rs 598 on 28 jan 2021 like I always do from the airtel app. Since that day until today I have received no service and have been complaining about it almost everyday. Today at 2:57 p.m. , I received a call from 9832047465 stating they are calling from airtel and wanting to speak to me about the recharge of rs. 598 about which I have been complaining and that I will be refunded the sum of money and asked me to confirm my card details which upon doing I was robbed of rs. 19,610.
A service outage for no particular reason for a sum of rs. 598 has led me to a grave loss. Airtel might tell me I should not have confirmed my card details, but in the goodwill of the company, how does anyone get to know about a personal service problem? Or how can I even trust airtel of not giving out my personal information to any random person that has led me today to such a huge loss? Who shall I blame for trusting in the goodwill of the company?
