I fell victim to a Facebook Marketplace scam involving a second-hand iPhone listed for 7000 INR. The scammer posed as an Indian Army member, provided convincing details, and tricked me into paying 320/- INR INR for a fake delivery parcel. The supposed delivery boy then demanded 5000/- INR.
He managed to convince me with real IDs somehow. The delivery boy asked for 5000/- from me to proceed with his order claiming to be only 10 minutes from my location. I read articles & rules and found that this scam exists but is not popular yet, which is why I stopped at that moment.
