Text of Complaint by Aashish Kapil:

I downloaded the lightning pocket app for emergency loan. After the installation of app they asked me for my personal details such as adhar card, Pan card, bank details etc. While checking the process without my consent 1624 got credited in my bank account on 01.12.2022 after this while checking the app for getting more information I got to know that I have to pay 2800 after 7 days in order to repay my loan of 1624. I received a message on 7.12.2022 through WhatsApp message stating do go to the app and repay the loan by paying 2800 through any online transaction. I paid the amount of 2800 on the given UPI ID given in the application which is candymandy1@axl on 07.12.2022 itself, when the money got debited from my account I mentioned the reference number of the transaction on the application as mentioned and the status changed from unpaid to pay off which means payment sucessful. Then I received a message on 08.12.2022 on WhatsApp from different international numbers to do the process of loan repayment by clicking the link they are sending. After this I replied by saying that I have already done it but in reply I received message from them saying that it’s not done and if I’ll not do it they will call every person in my contact list with an attached image of my contact list. Being a citizen of India I am worried about my phone privacy as I don’t know how they got my contact list and my documents are attached on that application. Kindly look help and support.
