I have been an airtel customer for long and i just ported a new number to airtel yesterday(the one in the subject). Today I got a call from someone exceptionally rude claiming to be from airtel, asking for my porting code. I was initially skeptical but gave him my porting code anyway. He told me to send me the entire message as it was. As I did not have the entire message i offered him to send a picture of the message on whatsapp. He then cut my call and told me that he needed the message. I typed the message out and sent it to him. I called him again, he cut my call. Then when he picked up the phone, he said he would send me a whatsapp number. Since then he has not picked up my call. His number was 9810753933. You can see my call records to understand how many calls I made and how many he cut. Makes me wonder why I even wanted to port to airtel.
