Hi Team,

This is really disheartening to lodge complaints against Airtel service again and again. Frustrating to say the least, I have been using Airtel service for the last 7-8 years and being a platinum member, God knows how many times I have to lodge a complaint against you.

In the month of March-April postpaid bill cycle, my Airtel plan suddenly got changed due to some stupid promotional advertisements from you people which I unknowingly clicked on. Without wasting time, I gave a call to Airtel customer care and complaint about the same and asked to change it to my old plan from next billing cycle, they promised to do the same but that didn’t happen. I was again charged with the new plan amount and I had to change it to my old plan using the Airtel app, no support was received from Airtel service.

Since then, Airtel kept on accumulating the additional charge with taxes which was based on the new plan. Now, Airtel is demanding that amount or else they will disconnect the outgoing services. Due to this, I called customer care day before yesterday and explained the complete issue and requested for some waive off. One of the supervisors named Mithilesh spoke to me complaint number: 31-3681350517291and promised a callback with an update in the next 48 hours which he didn’t do and so I called again today because Airtel disconnected my outgoing services. Now, Mithilesh told no amount can be waived off as per the policy.

My question to you, why should I pay the complete outstanding amount, despite requesting or complaining in the past to change it to the old plan which never happened from Airtel’s end on time and unnecessarily Airtel charged me for 2 months continuously with the new plan amount??

I am taking this matter to the consumer forum and social media, now you people decide if you want to disconnect my number or give some waive off to the outstanding amount. Mind you, if you are discontinuing my number and charging for my current plan usage and accumulating the outstanding amount, I am not gonna pay a single penny.
