Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent handling of a warranty claim regarding Dampproof Advance work carried out by the Asian Paints team on my property.
In July 2023, your team completed Dampproof Advance treatment for approximately 1800 square feet on my roof, with an 8-year warranty provided under Warranty ID: 0007177700. Unfortunately, the work has not held up as expected. Cracks have developed in the roof coating, leading to severe water seepage. As a result, my home has suffered significant damage — including issues with electrical wiring, which has left half of the house without power.
On 1st October 2025, I registered a complaint with your customer care team, and a case was created (Case No. 00292883). Following this, your representatives visited my property, inspected the damage, and took photographs and measurements.
However, on 10th October 2025, I was informed by your team that the seepage is due to a structural issue in the house, and therefore not covered under warranty. I find this explanation unacceptable, as your engineers and supervisor had inspected the property thoroughly before the work began. At that time, no structural concerns were raised, and your team proceeded with full knowledge of the site conditions.
It is disappointing that now, after the damage has occurred, your team is shifting the blame and refusing to take responsibility for repairs. This raises a serious question about the credibility and value of the warranty provided.
I kindly request your urgent attention and assistance in resolving this issue. I expect Asian Paints to honor the warranty and take immediate corrective action. Please treat this matter as high priority, as it is affecting the safety and functionality of my home.
