I, Sahil Sharma, am filing this complaint on behalf of my father, Mr. Jugal Kishore, against Catchup Technologies Private Limited for unauthorized deductions from his bank account. Since April 2024, an amount of ₹199 has been automatically debited every month through autopay, without his explicit consent or authorization. My father has never knowingly subscribed to any such recurring service, nor was any clear communication or approval sought by the company regarding this automatic renewal or payment.
The continued deduction of ₹199 every month amounts to unauthorized billing and deficiency in service, in violation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. These repeated deductions have caused financial loss and undue mental stress to my father.
Hence, I request the Hon’ble Consumer Commission to
Order the company to refund the total deducted amount of ₹199 per month from April 2024 till date.
Grant appropriate compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience, and financial distress caused to my father.
Instruct the company to adopt transparent consent mechanisms for any recurring or autopay services in the future.
I am enclosing supporting documents including bank statements showing the unauthorized deductions, communication records with the company, and my father’s identification proof for your kind consideration.
