- today I applied for conversion of postpaid connection to prepaid connection regarding my airtel number 9840254711 at the airtel outlet at Ambattur where I was asked to produce the I’d. When I given my advocate I’d issued by the bar council of Tamil Nadu and pondicherry and the same was processed with all relevant details by the airtel staff but unfortunately I have received the message that request to convert the post paid connection to prepaid connection would not made successfully. Thereafter the staff concern insisted to produce the aadhar card or driving licence as a practising lawyer I want to get the clarification whether the I’d card issue by the bar council is eligible to identify the person concern particularly existing customer. Your network being No 1 in India necessarily has to follow the order of judicial. Already supreme court held for identification purpose citizen cannot be compule to produce the aadhar card bar council being a statutory body is entitled to identify the practising lawyer which cannot be rejected to consider by any authority bound follow the law existing in india. Therefore not only as a customer of airtel also as a practising lawyer I want to get clarify is there any specific rule to reject the advocate id or it has been done by mistake of your concern if really is there any rule it may be pointed out to get the proper relief before the court of law or you may atleast hereafter may circulate the proper instruction to accept the I’d issued by the bar council or by th high court and supreme court. Iam expecting proper reply either by writing or by mail.
