Subject: Complaint regarding Ola Scooter and request for refund or replacement and also misleading loan amount
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Ola Electric regarding the purchase of an Ola Scooter. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product’s performance and the company’s lack of responsiveness to address the issues I have faced since the purchase. I am seeking a resolution in the form of a refund or a replacement of the defective scooter as per the provisions of the Indian law.
On 21 June 2023, vehicle no- KA27ET1245 I take delivery an Ola Scooter, and on the same day of delivery, I encountered multiple problems with the scooter. It started hanging and would not function properly. I immediately contacted the local dealer who advised me to reboot the scooter’s software. However, despite following their instructions, the issues persisted, including automatic on-off, a continuous tune, and the requirement to reboot the scooter every time to start it, even in busy traffic conditions.
On 4 July 2023, while I was on my way to an important work, the scooter suddenly hung again, and the handle got locked in the middle of crowded traffic. This caused significant inconvenience and safety concerns as I was unable to move the scooter to a parking or safe area. Furthermore, Ola Scooters do not have a manual handle unlocking system, which exacerbates the problem. Additionally, the display turned off, further exacerbating the situation. I immediately contacted the customer care helpline, only to be told that I would need to pay a towing charge of INR 2400, which could vary, for assistance. Despite the adverse weather conditions, I had to wait for over seven hours for the towing service to arrive.
Subsequently, I have been in constant communication with the customer care team, but they have provided no satisfactory resolution or updates regarding the repair of my scooter. Their responses have been rude, unhelpful, and they have repeatedly cut off my calls. They have also not provided me with the contact details of the technician assigned to my case. I have observed numerous complaints on Twitter about Ola’s poor customer service and their failure to address customer concerns promptly. It is deeply frustrating that a brand-new scooter is experiencing such significant technical issues, and the company has failed to take appropriate action to rectify the situation.
Given the circumstances, I demand either a refund of the full purchase amount or a replacement of the defective scooter as per the provisions of the Indian law. The scooter I received is clearly defective, and it has caused not only financial loss but also immense frustration and inconvenience. I trusted Ola Electric when I made the purchase, but my experience has shattered that trust. I do not have confidence in the company’s products or their ability to provide satisfactory customer service.
I kindly request your office’s assistance in this matter. I seek your intervention to ensure that Ola Electric acknowledges my complaint, resolves the issue promptly, and provides either a refund or a replacement scooter. I believe this is a justified request considering the circumstances and the loss I have incurred. I would appreciate your guidance on the appropriate legal recourse I can pursue to ensure a fair resolution.
when i booked ola scooter on 30 may 2023 and also i loaned amount tata capital in showroom loaned amount is 94150 remaing amount 45850 i paid the ola team and tata captial showroom iranna mislead and betrayed me and signed all documents without proper telling when i realized when i got mail from tata capital loan amount 99141 without proper telling me he added insurances and also ola said zero processing fees but he added processing fees the tata capital with ola showroom membars they said 9 and half percent interest shows 16.86% and also i raised and asked regarding this the ola company did’t answered till
